With the recent deaths of Ed McMahon, Farrah Fawcett and Michael Jackson, while all tragic, the media has gone wild making glory statements and media hyped shows of their lives. And while all their lives were different, all riddled with personal tragedies and triumphs. None of these people are true heroes. Now I am sure they each have done some good to this world, still not heroes.

A hero is an everyday person that can change the world and make it a better place and I am not referring to a MJ song. Most people think of heroes as people who fight crime in movies or comic books, but those people don’t exist in the real world.

Give some glory and honor where it’s due. So tell us who your real world hero is and why?

I truly believe that whenever we dedicate our lives to Christ or when we study His word to draw closer to Him, there is a party going on in Heaven! Rejoicing and Jubilations!

But…. that doesn’t set well with the evil one. He will invite himself in and try to wreck anything going for you that is good.

Stand strong and rebuke the attack my brothers and sisters, in Jesus Holy and Mighty name.

A friend of mine, Tim, who has an incredible online book store www.RoadtoGlory.us , recently added a thought provoking message on his Facebook page. It read: “If you could put 1 or 2 sentences in the paper with hopes of impacting the lives of people, what would you say?”

After a day of that line rolling around in my head I asked myself…. What am I doing to influence the lives of others?

It says in Mark 1: 17 “Come, follow me,” Jesus said, “and I will make you fishers of men.” 

So am I being a “Fisher of Men?”

This is really something to think about. Even without a line or two in a newspaper, what is it that we are supposed to be doing to impact lives of others through Christ? Who are we reaching? Who are we touching? What impact are we having?

Recently I observed a small child skipping through a busy airport. This child looked very happy and was really enjoying skipping immensely, all this without a worry in the world. At that very moment I wondered how long it’s been since I‘ve skipped? Now I’m a grown man, so believe me it’s been a long, long time. In fact so long I couldn’t recall when the last time was. I didn’t make a decision one day to no longer skip; it just went away without me realizing that it was gone.

I think that sometime we can get so far away from God and not even realize that we are so far away from Him.

So today, I skipped for Jesus. I knew that it was Christ like, Child like action and it felt great!

When is the last time you had child like faith and skipped through a busy crowd? Maybe today will be the day you’ll skip.

Mark 10: 13-16

People were bringing little children to Jesus to have him touch them, but the disciples rebuked them. When Jesus saw this, he was indignant. He said to them, “Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of God belongs to such as these. I tell you the truth, anyone who will not receive the kingdom of God like a little child will never enter it.” And he took the children in his arms, put his hands on them and blessed them.

It says in Joel 2:28  “I will pour out my Spirit on all people. Your sons and daughters will prophesy, your old men will dream dreams, your young men will see visions.

So here’s the deal, if I prophesy and have dreams and visions, what stage am I in?

Wouldn’t it be great to be able to speak to your faith and just say “Super Size That Please” and it be done?   Just as in “The Parable of the Mustard Seed”, you can sow the mustard seed (your faith) and watch it grow in His Kingdom, to something super sized.

Mark 4: 30-32

Jesus said, “What shall we say the kingdom of God is like, or what parable shall we use to describe it? It is like a mustard seed, which is the smallest seed you plant in the ground. Yet when planted, it grows and becomes the largest of all garden plants, with such big branches that the birds of the air can perch in its shade.”

Matthew 17:20

Jesus replied, “Because you have so little faith. I tell you the truth, if you have faith as small as a mustard seed, you can say to this mountain, ‘Move from here to there’ and it will move. Nothing will be impossible for you.”
