Something really awesome happened on New Year’s Eve. The God Mafia was invited to sell our merch during a band fest at a church in Oklahoma. A man wanted to look at our “70 x 7” shirt and then said he would have to think about it. But as he walked away, he seemed really sad. He came back later that night and asked to purchase the shirt and said that “he hoped this work”. Of course, I had to ask what he meant by hoping it would work. He shared with me that he had been trying to have a relationship with his brother for the last 10 years, with no success. Out of 8 kids, him and his brother are the last. The man went on to tell me that he had just told his wife earlier in the day that he was done with his brother. He had tried everything he knew to do and now he was done. But God was on the move New Year’s Eve and this man decided to take his brother The God Mafia T-shirt that spoke God’s word of forgiveness. Together we prayed over the shirt and left the rest up to God. That was so cool that God chose to use our shirt to speak into this families life. If that had been the only shirt sold that night, it was worth it!
