When I first heard it sung to the tune of "House of the Rising sun" it opened up almost a whole new meaning of the song to me. Instead of just at funerals it was a song that I could listen to anytime that I needed reassurance so to speak. It was at a Peter Gabriel concert back in the late 90's and it was sung (and has been recorded) by a group called "The Five Bilnd Boys From Alabama" and they are all blind and they are amazing as well.

Keep up the great work you are doing.

Well, my story of the Amazing Grace is far to long to write out now.
I do know that for me, giving my life to God at 15, then a long learning period, then a serving time, and just when I thought all was well, the testing started. Oh trust me I sometimes wanted to turn my back on God and run to the other side. I even questioned God (thats okay to do, really). My chose was to cling to God and learn from the battle, how the enemy fought, where I am weak, when to give it to God and when to stand my ground, armor on, and fight the good fight, God is my sword, shield, I am not afraid to walk in the valley of evil. My God loves me, therefore I can love others, forgive others, and share life with them.
It took me 23 to 25 years to realize the truth. Yes I was one that fell often, asked forgivness, got up, and went on.

I truly love the God I serve!

I'm still falling, but I get up!

What do you do?
Trust God, He will help you get up!!

I used to sing it in the 70's to the tune of the house of the rising sun. I am not sure where I heard it but it seems like someone had recorded it. Thats probably not the kind of rock you were talking about but its all I know. Good luck and you're right it is a great song . I also heard it to the tune of a song they used on coke commercials. "Id like to teach the world to sing"

It isn't exactly rock, but Todd Agnew has a version of this that is really pretty good. I have heard both his album version and an acoustic set, and both a great.

I like your take on the conversation with the guy that claims to be a non believer. Let him get into a real deep scrape with life and see which side of the pool he decides to swim in.
Bless your work.
